So regular readers will probably remember I signed up for two events for April:
As I mentioned the other day when I signed up for two new ARC related events, I didn’t do so good at the ARCs in April. On my list was:
– several craft books (4 anyway)
– Scarlet Plague
– Mastering Your Mean Girl
And I touched none of them. Not one page of any of them! I didn’t even open them. The only ARC I read the entire month was: REVOLUTIONARY HEART: THE LIFE OF CLARINA NICHOLS AND THE PIONEERING CRUSADE FOR WOMEN’S RIGHTS (which was excellent, by the way).
For the Children’s Lit event, I did a little better. My plan was to read:
- the next two Anne of Green Gables books (I was supposed to have read one in February & one in April)
- the next Little House book (I’m on track with re-reading this series, but I’d like to get a head)
- The Little Princess
- finish Jack & Jill
- finish Cricket on the Hearth
I did manage to finish Jack and Jill & Cricket, I didn’t even start Heidi or the Little Princess, I didn’t read Anne, but I managed to read On the Banks of Plum Creek and By the Shores of Silver Lake. It wasn’t on the list, but I finally finished the Prince and the Pauper, too – and better yet, all these books double dipped with my Classic Challenges.
