Another book long since finished, and another book that took me probably a year to read and actually finish.
I wanted to read it because I know there are so many huge fans of the series, I love YA fantasy / sci-fi series, and I had to at least try the books, right?
I just got really, really stuck in the middle of the book – which is why it took a year to read. I really loved the beginning – definitely my favorite part of the book – and I did enjoy the last 1/3 of the book, but everything else… man, it was like what is going on? Why do people love this series so much?
(I do truly believe that this series is probably like Harry Potter: you read the first book and you’re like “Yeah, it’s good, but what’ the big deal?” it’s not into you really start to dig deep that you realize how amazing it is. I think I’m probably just not digging deep enough to find the joy in this series)
