The year is 1771, and war is coming. Jamie Fraser’s wife tells him so. Little as he wishes to, he must believe it, for hers is a gift of dreadful prophecy—a time-traveler’s certain knowledge. Claire’s unique view of the future has brought him both danger and deliverance in the past; her knowledge of the oncoming revolution is a flickering torch that may light his way through the perilous years ahead—or ignite a conflagration that will leave their lives in ashes.
Another book in a wonderful series. This one grabs you from the get go, and keeps your attention throughout!
It’s a long book, and you definitely have to work on getting through some of the slower sections, but it is one of my favorites in the series.
This is my second or third time reading the book – and is one of my challenges for the year (for the second year in a row) to finish rereading the entire series, more or less in a row (I’m trying not to take more than 1-2 months off between books, but it does sometimes take me a few months to finish an individual book)
