How many hours are in a day when you don't spend half of them watching television?
When is the last time any of us REALLY worked to get something we wanted?
How long has it been since any of us really NEEDED something that we WANTED?
The world we knew is gone.
The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility.
An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living.
In a matter of months society has crumbled.no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV.
In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living.
I’m a fan of the show, and not a big reader of comics, but have wanted to read these for a long while. I’m sort of on a “read something outside my usual genre” kick, so this finally made it to the “currently reading” pile and I’m glad I finally read it.
It’s a fast read-being a comic-and at least in this volume, not too far afield from the show. There’s more to the story here in the comic, which I really liked. I think the drawings/art that goes with the story was well done, though again I don’t have much to base my opinion on. The pacing was good, and a few times my heart was racing even though I knew what was going to happen next, more or less, having watched the show.
